Luxair has broadened its flight offerings by introducing direct routes from Luxembourg to Helsinki and Edinburgh, enhancing travel options to Northern Europe. The Helsinki route commenced on July 2, while flights to Edinburgh took off the following day, July 3. Both destinations are serviced twice a week, with Helsinki flights available on Mondays and Thursdays, and Edinburgh flights departing on Mondays and Fridays.
The launch of these routes responds to a growing demand from passengers, who have frequently requested these destinations in recent years. Luxair noted that both business and leisure travelers have shown a strong interest in accessing these European capitals, reflecting their popularity.
This expansion is part of Luxair’s strategic growth plan, which is also supported by a continuous renewal of its fleet. The addition of Helsinki and Edinburgh is among nine new routes set to be introduced by 2026, expanding the airline’s network to a total of 101 destinations.
The new services promise to improve connectivity between Luxembourg and these major European cities, providing travelers with more choices and flexibility. By broadening its network, Luxair aims to strengthen its position in the European market and cater to the evolving needs of its passengers.
