Israel Endorses ‘Endgame’ Plan for Gaza War

by admin477351

Israel has endorsed a U.S.-led “endgame” plan designed to bring a final and permanent conclusion to the war in Gaza. A senior official confirmed the government’s acceptance of a comprehensive framework that ties a lasting ceasefire to the release of all hostages and the full demilitarization of Hamas, shifting the conflict into a potentially final diplomatic phase.

This endgame strategy, meticulously crafted by American diplomats, aims to move beyond the cycle of temporary truces and recurring violence. It offers a definitive resolution that addresses Israel’s core security needs while providing a pathway for the reconstruction of the devastated Gaza Strip. Israel’s endorsement is the first critical step in implementing this vision.

The conditions of the plan are stark and transformative. For peace to be achieved, all individuals held captive must be returned, and Hamas must agree to lay down its arms, thereby ceasing to be a military entity. This latter point is the most significant hurdle but is deemed non-negotiable by Israeli leadership for any permanent settlement.

With Israel formally on board, the international community now considers the proposal a live and actionable offer. The focus has shifted entirely to the leadership of Hamas, who must now decide whether to accept the terms of this endgame or continue a conflict that has brought catastrophic consequences upon the people of Gaza.
